Hi, I’m Johanna
I’m an Executive Coach and Leadership Development specialist with more than 25 years’ experience helping people think deeply, lead with confidence and navigate complexity with clarity. My career has taken me across sectors from construction and education to financial services, energy and retail, and throughout it all, I’ve been driven by a simple belief: leadership is human work.
My approach blends reflective depth with evidence‑based practice. I draw on my academic grounding in political science, organisational theory and research methodology, but I never lose sight of the person in front of me. I create calm, psychologically safe spaces where leaders can pause, explore their thinking and reconnect with what matters most.
Inclusion sits at the heart of my work. Years of EDI consultancy and supporting young people have taught me how identity, culture and lived experience shape leadership. I bring that lens into every conversation, helping clients build environments where people feel seen, valued and able to thrive.
Clients often tell me I “get to the core quickly”, that I “challenge with care”, and that I help them think in ways they haven’t before. I work with leaders and teams, stepping into new roles, navigating transformation, shaping culture or seeking to lead with greater authenticity and impact.
Today, I run PJV Learning & Development Ltd alongside Peter, bringing together coaching, leadership development and organisational consultancy. I also continue to mentor young people with their academic and career journeys — a reminder that leadership potential exists long before a job title.
At the centre of my practice is a belief I return to often:
When we understand ourselves, we lead with clarity.
When we feel safe, we grow.
And when we lead with purpose, organisations thrive.
My Approach
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Dream it
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest.
Build it
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
